조선시대 민화 송호도(松虎圖) 세 점입니다. 각기 다른 구도 속에서 호랑이와 소나무가 함께 표현되었습니다.
호랑이는 과장되고 익살스러운 표정으로 친근하고 해학적인 분위기를 자아내지만, 동시에 사악한 기운을 물리치는 벽사의 상징이기도 합니다.
소나무는 장수와 절개의 상징입니다. 먹의 농담 조절과 세밀한 묘사를 통해 보다 생동감 있게 그렸습니다. 반면 괴석은 단순한 형태로 그려 민화 특유의 소박함이 드러납니다.
소나무 아래 호랑이를 두어 재앙을 물리치고 복을 부르려는 민간의 염원을 담았고, 두려운 존재를 해학적으로 나타내며 공포를 다스리려 했던 태도를 엿볼 수 있습니다.

These are three Pine and Tiger (松虎圖) folk paintings from the Joseon dynasty. Each depicts a tiger and a pine tree within a different composition.
The tiger, with its exaggerated and comical expression, creates a friendly and humorous atmosphere. At the same time, it serves as a symbol of byeoksa—a guardian figure that wards off evil spirits.
